Doug Croley Seeks Re-Election To Gadsden County Commission District Two Seat
Doug Croley has announced his candidacy for re-election to the Gadsden County Commission District Two Seat. He presently serves as the 2009 - 2010 Vice Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners. Croley represents Gadsden County on the Capital Area Regional Transportation Agency (CRTPA), which is the primary transportation planning agency for the regional metropolitan area consisting of Leon, Gadsden, Wakulla and Jefferson Counties. He has completed the Certified County Commissioner Program of the Florida Association of Counties. Croley also serves as the current Chairman of the Gadsden County Value Adjustment Board.
Doug Croley is married to Dianne Montague Croley. The couple has a daughter, Mary Katharine Croley Lawler. Doug is the oldest son of Mary Alice Croley of Quincy.
Croley, a sixth generation Gadsden County native, grew-up in Quincy, worked on the local farms in his youth and graduated from James A. Shanks High School. He earned an AA degree from North Florida Junior College in Madison, Florida, a BA degree from the University of Florida and a Masters in Public Administration from Florida State University.
As a business person, Doug owns and operates Douglas M. Croley, Inc., a successful multi-line insurance and financial services agency operation. He is a member of Centenary United Methodist Church of Quincy, Jackson Lodge #1 Free & Accepted Masons, the Economic Club of Florida, Gadsden County Chamber of Commerce, Florida Farm Bureau, Tall Timbers Research Station and Land Conservancy, the Little River Hunt Club and other area civic and social organizations.
